Prescott-Joseph Center for Community Enhancement, Inc. is a non-profit corporation organized in 1995 in the Prescott district of West Oakland. It evolved out of the conceptual scheme for the adaptive re-use of the former Saint Joseph's Convent (St. Patrick Convent) as a center for community services, education, culture and development in West Oakland.
The Prescott-Joseph Center for Community Enhancement offers coordinated programs for community members of all ages. We offer Art & Culture Programs,Health & Wellness, and much more. Family and Youth programs are not open to the general public and require referrals from other organizations. Please inquire for more information.
Agencies address a wide range of issues from youth development, substance abuse and financial literacy to job training and basic needs. All WOCC members have made a commitment to work together to serve the needs of West Oakland and help strengthen each others' capacity to deliver services.
