RTTC has an agreement with Alameda County Social Services Agency to provide CalWorks clients with Work Experience in public and non-profit agencies. The host agency is expected to provide real work experience, direction, evaluations and counseling. Calworks clients will work up to 32 hours per week and from six to twelve months. Once they gain valuable work experience, RTTC will assit them in finding full time employment.


There is no cost to the host agencies, the county pays salary and all associated cost for the program.

This project will be approved by the Board of Supervisors on November 8th, and is expected to start by December 1st. All approved agencies should draft a job description and forward it to RTTC. We will partition the county employment counselors to match the host agencies request. RTTC will provide orientation and assessment prior to referring the client to the host agency.
