Exciting Things are Happening at PJC! Read Our Fall 2006 Newsletter and Find Out All About Them!
A Message from Washington Burns, MD…
This past year has brought about a lot of changes and wonderful things! To all of my friends, colleagues and others who so generously contributed to our handicap ramp, I want you to know that we started in late-August and it is almost finished! To the grand building we occupy, we have added a new roof, external restoration and paint. We will have a new fence matching the railing of the ramp. It is awaiting the completion of a” Wellness Gate”, a public work of art, done by ‘Tomye’ Neal Madison.
Housed in the Center are new acclaimed services:
the Another Road to Safety (ARS), a partnership with Alameda County Social Services Agency and First Five/Every Child Counts, successful and well
attended art and theatre shows, revival of the HEARTs - “Healing Through Art and Self-Expression” Program, and good collaborative projects.
Most of this would not have been possible without our donor partners, a wonderful staff, and the Board of Directors. We are shooting for the moon, but at the very least, we will land among the stars!!
